Pre-course Planning and Scheduling
- Understand the goals and objectives of the medical programn
- Determine the total needs of the program
- Secure or provide assistance with scheduling of the facility and hotel accommodations
- Provide and/or secure from the appropriate medical vendors all the surgical equipment, materials and supplies necessary for the successful execution of the program
Course Production
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of all surgical equipment and supplies
- Complete setup of the operating room environment
- Setup of surgical stations
- Electrical and lighting setup
- Proper setup of equipment and instrumentation
- Proper exposure and positioning of anatomical material
- Enforcement of universal precautions to include personal protective equipment
- Professional trained support staff with onsite supervision to ensure a smooth program execution
Post Course Activities
- Breakdown the operating room environment and restore the training facility to its original state or as required in the terms of the reservation
- Clean and return loaned instruments as required by the supporting medical vendors
- Proper disposal of all biohazard waste
- Final disposition of anatomical material
Janice Hepler
Janice Hepler, the founder of the JLS Consulting Group, has over 25 years experience in the medical industry to include 15 years surgical nursing and 10 years medical education and research program management as the former executicve director of the Medical Education and Research Institute (MERI) of Memphis, Tennessee.
Janice has conducted programs in all specialties of medicine. Those areas include interventional radiology, cardiology neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastic surgery. She has worked with major medical device and implant companies and with medical societies, such as North American Spine Society, American Association of Neurosurgeons, and American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She has conducted programs in laboratories, hotels, convention centers all over the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Thailand, Australia.
